Positive feedback from delegates on the new ARCA ILM Leadership & Management course
ARCA has received positive feedback from delegates on the Association’s new ILM Level 4 Certificate in Leadership & Management course.
The asbestos removal industry recognises the importance of effective leadership and management, not just at director level but also managers, as good leadership means effective communication. As a professional and licensed industry these skills are crucial to the safety of the workforce.
To support the development of the next leaders in the asbestos industry ARCA launched a Level 4 Certificate in Leadership & Management earlier this year. As success is not just about managing projects, the course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge and the skills to effectively manage people.
“It is fantastic to see individuals taking this opportunity to support their business, and also further their own development and standing within the industry,” commented Shaun Wilson, Lead Trainer for ARCA. “As well as the principles of leadership and management we also cover the practicalities of how to include these in their role, and are on hand to support them with the course assignments.”
ARCA’s qualified trainers developed four units for the leadership and management course specifically to develop skills to help managers improve staff communication and motivation, and so enable them to lead a group of individuals to achieve a common goal.
Robin Hardy, Manager for ICS Insulation Contracting Services, commented, “Having this new qualification has enabled me to take the next step after successfully completing the Level 4 Managers Certificate. Also by taking this ARCA leadership and management qualification it will assist myself, and my colleague Antony, to become members of the Asbestos Removal Management Institute.”
“The management at ICS believe in professional development so fully support us on undertaking this qualification. The communications management course was very informative, providing clarity and knowledge which will support our success, and that of the business,” stated Antony O’Brien, Manager for ICS Insulation Contracting Services, Solihull.
“Thank you ARCA for a well presented course. It was very informative and the way it was presented made me think of the wider implications for the business and for everyday life,” said Nigel Pinder of Asbestos Environmental Solutions Ltd, Basildon
